Championing diversity with creativity
THE CHALLENGE:
As LEGO embarked on building its in-house agency, senior stakeholders were tasked with expanding production capabilities beyond Denmark while focusing on LEGO’s broader strategy to champion diversity, enhance creativity and drive innovation within their marketing efforts. As a female-led organization, the opportunity to engage our network to support underrepresented talent was a dream come true.

OUR APPROACH:
- IDENTIFY AND ENGAGE DIVERSE INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE TALENT: Sourced established and up & coming creative talent from across Europe & the US, spanning a range of creative disciplines including film, photography, animation, illustration and VFX.
- FACILITATE CROSS-CULTURAL COLLABORATION: Managed seamless integration between LEGO’s in-house team and external creatives, from creative development to contract negotiations, fostering an environment of mutual learning and innovation.
- PRODUCE HIGH-IMPACT CAMPAIGNS: Oversaw the development and execution of campaigns that pushed creative boundaries, including multiple brand spots and the production of the highly confidential “Everything Is Awesome 2” music video.



OUTCOME
Our collaboration led to the successful expansion of LEGO’s creative horizons:
- Diversity Program: Over-delivered against every metric in the LEGO diversity program every year, demonstrating a commitment to support gender, ethnicity & LGBTQ+ equality.
- Enhanced Creative Output: Partnership resulted in innovative creative that captivated audiences worldwide, including The Lego Movie campaign as well as multiple high impact brand spots.
- Notable Campaign Success: The “Everything Is Awesome 2” music video, produced under strict confidentiality, has garnered over 19 million views on YouTube to date, showcasing the impact of embracing fresh creative approaches.
