Fortnite educates its players about systemic racism at “We The People” the event.

Fortnite‘s Party Royale hosted its We The People event – a series of conversations about systemic racism and diversity. Featured speakers included CNN political commentator Van Jones, former Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Elaine Welteroth, The Atlantic contributing writer Jemele Hill and rapper Killer Mike.

In the wake of the death of George Floyd, the event aired at 8:46 a.m. CDT, referencing the duration of how long Floyd was forcefully pinned to the ground by the knee of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. The Run The Jewels artist shared his views on the world’s current state to the players who tuned in and said:
